WeJog – Calories and Steps Tracker

The main goal of WeJog is to raise awareness among users to achieve the daily target for number of footsteps walked so that the risk of having heart disease and obesity can be prevented. The awareness can be raised by having a user-friendly dashboard that allows them to view the number of footsteps walked, amount of calories burnt, the distance walked and the progress until daily goal completion. This feature is possible by using the accelerometer of a smartphone. If the users are far from the target at the end of a day, the users will be notified to walk more frequently. All daily tracking data can be viewed in the form of graphs.

Besides, WeJog also aimed to easily keep track of their calories intake and make wise choices in selecting foods. This goal can be achieved by letting users know the nutrition facts by simply typing the name of a food or drink. The data is obtained from FoodData Central API.

Lastly, WeJog also aimed to allow users to always keep track of their health conditions such as blood pressure and pulse from time-to-time. Instead of just simply checking blood pressure and pulse at home, WeJog provides users an easy way to record them for future tracking and analyzing purposes. The data can also be viewed in the form of a graph.
